European Coastal Wetlands Interactive Platform
Access interactive tools and spatial data to understand, monitor and support the conservation of coastal wetlands across Europe. From continent-wide insights to in-depth data from our six pilot sites, the platform is the Restore4Cs hub for evidence-based decision-making and research

What is the European Coastal Wetlands Interactive Platform
Information about key characteristics of coastal wetlands is crucial for evidence-based decision-making, as well as an enabler for progress in data gathering, monitoring and research. The European Coastal Wetlands Interactive Platform provides access to a wide range of spatial data tools that allow you to broaden your knowledge about coastal wetland ecosystems and interact with the available data to generate updated information.
The platform is composed of a set of interactive tools, spatial data viewers and data and metadata catalogues that allow to discover the wealth of data generated during the lifetime of the Restore4Cs project (R4Cs). It focuses on data that is available at European scale, but also provides access to the information for the 6 pilot cases of R4Cs.
The interactive platform aims at being a long-term information hub for coastal wetlands, contributing to a better understanding of these ecosystems, complementing the information available for other wetland ecosystems (e.g. Global Mangrove Watch) and providing evidence-based decision-support for wetland managers and planners at different scales.
