Cyrus Engerer is a maltese Member of the European Parliament, elected in 2020 and part of the progressive alliance of Socialists and Democrats.
LGBTQ rights activist, he was tasked in 2021 with negotiating the European Parliaments historic resolution on the declaration of the European Union as an LGBTQ Freedom zone, in reaction to the establishment of so called “LGBT-Free zones” in Poland.
Cyrus Engerer is also involved in the protection of the environment and is an active member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and of the SEArica Intergroup.
